Over the past decade, it seems as though political movements have gained more popularity with youth and people are more willing to speak their opinions. There is a direct correlation between this attitude and the culture of hip hop music. Personally for me, Hip Hop music represents a sense of pride and confidence in who you are. There are so many inspirational names in music who encourage people to speak out about what they believe. Hip Hop is still a controversial genre and many people over look the art of it due to its sometimes excessive use of vulgarity. However there are many good things that hip hop influences and it is an art form that should truly be appreciated. My Overview.
